Howdy! My name is Jesus David Leal, however, you can call me David. I am a rising senior in high school, and I am working on my Computer Science Associates simultaneously. I attend Thelma R. Salinas Early College High School and I am part of South Texas College’s Computer Science Department. I will be graduating in the Spring of 2017 with my Associates and High School Diploma.
I am a High School Summer 2016 Researcher, and along with other interns, we will be researching with the help of Dr. Nancy Amato, Read Sandstrom and Saurabh Mishra, under the DREU program. Professor Nancy Amato is Co-Director of Parasol Lab, and Professor, in Texas A&M’s Computer Science and Engineering Department. Her research interests are: motion planning, computational biology, robotics, computational geometry, animation, parallel and distributed computing, parallel algorithms, and performance modeling and optimization.
As a collaborative team we will be researching Material relocation with multi-agent systems. In this summer's project, we will look at modeling the first stage of a construction problem: moving resources from a supply/drop-off site to a construction site. The environments we study will also have a robot depot site, where robots recharge and replacements stand on deck.
These are some of the moments captured among our stay in Texas A&M as well as in College Station itself.
