Education and Employment: I'm an undergraduate researcher from Colorado State University, working at Carnegie Mellon University with Dr. Jennifer Mankoff and Dr. Scott Hudson. My research focuses on developing tools to "make making makable": creating tools that support novice 3D modelers and support the creation novel assistive devices.
Current Research: I primarily work with populations with motor impairments such as amputations and gripping impairments. My prior work as been to build novel devices with people with limb difference in order to make specific tasks more accessible. Now my research aims to address many of the challenges presented by working with this population. Mainly, how can novices design validatable, safe, and reliable modular devices?
Prior Research: Prior to my work at Carnegie Mellon, I was a researcher with Dr. Amy Hurst at UMBC and Dr. Jaime Ruiz at Colorado State University.
