My mentor this summer is Dr. Juan E. Gilbert. He holds the Andrew Banks Family Preeminence Endowed Chair and is the Associate Chair of Research in the Computer and Information Science & Engineering Department at the University of Florida where he leads the Human Centered Computing Lab. Dr. Gilbert attained his PhD at the University of Cicinnati.
His primary areas of research are Human Centered Computing and Databases & Data Analytics. The projects in his lab include but not limited toelectronic voting, brain-computer interfaces, social and ethno computing, and animated pedagogical agents.
In addition, he has received various honors and accolades.
