Dr. Christina Gardner-McCune is in her first year as a Assistant Professor
in the Human-Centered division in the School of Computing. Prior to being at Clemson University Dr. Gardner-McCune was an Assistant Professor at
Georgia Institute of Technology.
She earned her BS in Computer Engineering at Syracuse University. Her MS and PhD in Computer Science however
were from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Her focus has been in the design and study of learning environments and technology that help students learn computing and STEM content and
reasoning in the context of activities in which they are naturally interested. She is particularly interested in the iterative design,
refinement, and sustainability of curriculum and program development to support computing and STEM learning in informal learning environments.
