Research Interests

Throughout my life, I have been very interested in video games and have spent a great deal of time playing many different types of games. The more I played video games, the stronger the desire became to pursue a career in video game development. After spending nearly five years in the United States Army, I decided to get an education in order to pursue a career in the field that I am most passionate about. In 2009, I started working toward a bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of New Mexico and I graduated with honors this past May.

Through my research, I hope to learn more about video game development, as well as finding new ways to make video games more realistic. I have considerable interest in graphics and artificial intelligence and was able to gain some experience with graphics from an Undergraduate Research Assistanceship in UNM's Advanced Graphics Lab. In that position, I learned about surface reconstruction using a Microsoft Kinect for capturing objects. During this internship, I hope to learn more about devices like the Kinect and to gain more experience with computer graphics and animation in general.
