About Me

I'm an undergraduate Applied Mathematics student at the University of California, Merced with an emphasis in Computer Science. I will be a rising junior this fall and I expect to graduate in the spring of 2015. I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and my family is currently in the Bay Area of California. I enjoy running and trying new food!

For Summer 2013, I was selected to participate in a Distributed Research Experience for Undergraduates (DREU) through the Computational Research Alliance - Women (CRA-W). It is a fantastic program that is best described through their mission statement:

"The goal of the CRA Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W) is to take positive action to increase the number of women participating in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) research and education at all levels"

Program Mentor: Dr. Cindy Grimm

Dr. Grimm is a Computer Science professor at Oregon State Univeristy. She is currently working in the areas of computer graphics and human–computer interaction, including the relationship between shape and biological function, design of interfaces for manipulating and annotating 3D images, and artistic-based modeling and visualization.
