Area of research: Collaborative learning and problem solving, as well as combining lab studies, software development, participatory analysis and design, and field studies within the general framework of action research.
Project: wConnect - What is to be a complete online community for women interested in computer related careers. It will bring high-school students to meet undergrads, and undergrads to meet grads, and grads to meet mentors. This hierarchy will in theory create a nourishing environment for women's educational endeavors in the ITS department at Penn State.
