Fourth of July!

The Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory (MDIBL) traditionally takes part in the fourth of July parade in Bar Harbor with a marine biology themed take on the official theme.

This year, the theme was "Salute to Liberty", so we made an enormous lamprey and went with the theme "Salute to Lamprey-ty".

We built a huge lamprey out of chicken wire and some brownish fabric and put it on the back of a truck.
