Identifying Exercise Correctness for Home-Based Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation patients learn many exercises to help them recover
their movement as close as possible to before their injury and surgery. Often patients
performed the rehabilitation exercises correctly when in front of their doctor but are a different story when they are performing the exercises by themselves at home.
This research investigates identifying whether a patient is performing a rehabilitation
exercise correctly based on their motion capture data.
The research will analyze knee rehabilitation.
Before tackling this problem at a
patient's home, we will set up experiments in the lab to define how to judge rehabilitation
exercises correctness using motion data.
