Week 5: 7/2 - 7/8
So I found out that I'm supposed to do the walking movies, too. This means 18 more scenes to render! AHHHHHH. Just when I thought I was done... Fortunately, I had the Fourth of July off, so I just made a batch file and let the computer run so everything would be done when I got in on Thursday. It turns out that my last batch file was inappropriately named, ahahaha. Note to self: 'run.bat' is off-limits! ^^; Of course, now I have to edit the script again, but that wasn't a big deal at all; I just had to nest some loops. Anyway, of course I find that I rushed a little when writing that batch file, because I ended up having to re-render the small correct blob and man. I had a weird animation problem with the blob, and the man wasn't even rendered at all, because I forgot to point to the right scene file! But, now everything is done, so I can't complain. I hope to start testing soon, but we haven't heard back from the IRB. I've prepared some forms though, just in case... The experimental setup actually takes a lot more thought than I thought it would--I have to consider what the female-to-male ratio should be for subjects, how to include minorities, how to compensate everyone for participating, etc. I really need to talk to Jessica! If I could find Eakta's stuff, it would be a lot of help...
Raye left to be at her friend's wedding this week, so it was a little lonely at home. April and I went out, though, and had some fun. We mostly watched tv.
