Research interests include:

• Advanced Learning Technologies
• Artificial Intelligence, particularly used in Learning Environments, Clustering, and Data Mining
• Bioinformatics, particularly in modeling protein translation using coding theory
• Combinatorics, particularly Graph Theory related problems

I've worked with Dr. Barnes for the past year and a half now on the Game2Learn project.  During that time, the project grew from a few people in her introductory game design class passing emails back and forth to... well... quite a few people passing emails back and forth,  and two games that teach computer science!  We also recently branched off into a separate laboratory that concentrates solely on gaming to learn and learning to game.  During the summer, we teach a Game Design class to a group of undergraduates from Hallym University, a private university located in South Korea.  Since working with Dr. Barnes, I've had many unique opportunities and learning experiences that I feel have helped me grow as a person and as a computer scientist.
