My mentor is Dr. Maria Gini. She is a professor at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. Her fields of interest are Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. She has a pretty detailed website about her work, her classes, and some good references. Dr. Gini is originally from Milan, Italy where she still visits frequently. She is a big proponent of teaching Scheme to entering computer science undergraduate students, which is not always popular amoung the students. We had a nice interesting talk about scheme on one of the first days here.
