Build An Instance Document for POET

This website is designed to help you write an instance document to be used in conjunction with the Online Preference Elicitation Tool also known as POET. It is used for input to POET's GUI.

There are two stages to this process. First, one must enter the values about which users might have preferences. The second step, which is performed on a separate page, is to enter archetypes to help get the preference elicitations started.

An Attribute is a category or grouping of values that a user can have a preference about.
A Value is a specific object that a user can have a preference about.
Both attributes and values have descriptions associated with them which are used to provide the user with more information for each value/attribute.
An Archetype is a premade set of attributes and values designed to help a user elicit their preferences.
For example, an attribute could be "Genre of Movie" and values under that attribute could be "Drama","Comedy", and "Science Fiction".

There must be at least one attribute, one value per attribute, and one archetype. Please use only numbers, for example, enter 15 instead of fifteen.
