Final Thoughts

I can't believe that the summer is already over. The ten weeks have gone by so quickly. I am so grateful to have been given the chance to work here. Everyone has been wonderful (I've made many great friends - and I'm sad to leave them), and I have learned a lot. I've learned about security and about XP and about graduate school in general. I had no idea what grad school really was composed of, so it has been very helpful for me to be in the environment and to be able to ask a bunch of questions. I am sure now that I really do want to go on to grad school.
Laurie has been particularly helpful and a great mentor. I have loved seeing how she balances work and a family. My favorite still is that she takes her kids to the movies and brings a laptop so she can have a few hours of uninterrupted work! She is very creative in finding a balance between the two and ends up being a great professor and a great mom. I appreciate all the time she's taken to help me and answer my questions. And both Laura and I are grateful to the entire Williams family for being so hospitable and welcoming us into their home.
Laura and I are also grateful to John Mayer for making Room For Squares such a great cd that we absolutely could not stop listening to :-).
There are a million other things I wanted to say, but now as I'm actually sitting here, I can't remember any of them. So I'll just say that this is a great program, and I highly recommend applying for it if you are eligible! If you have any other questions, feel free to email me!
