At my meeting on Monday, I got a lot of questions about the project
cleared up. I had been thinking about a few things wrong, and I was
able to get a better understanding of some issues and move forward.
I looked at design options for DTDs for changes metadata. I came up
with a few examples, and some choices/tradeoffs that would need to be
made. In this process I found that I needed more information about
how XML is parsed, and so I was back and forth to the online reference
I'd been using too.
From there I started looking at the DejaVOO documentation, trying to
get a sense of the specifics of the algorithm and the implementation.
At the same time, I started looking into Java/XML packages to figure
out what I would need to modify the DejaVOO algorithm.
