My name is Jessamy Ofcarcik and I attend Greenville College, which is a small Free Methodist college in Southern Illinois.  I'll be a junior in the fall, majoring in computer science with a mathematics emphasis.  One of my math professors gave me the information on the distributed mentor project and I applied at the beginning of last year.  I'd never had the opportunity to do research like this before, and I was excited about getting to meet other women in my field (there are only two female c.s. majors at Greenville), so I was thrilled when I was accepted to the program!
