I'm a senior at George Fox University, double-majoring in computer science and English and in Fox's William Penn Honors Program.
My DREU mentor is software-engineering professor Miryung Kim at the University of California, Los Angeles. I am working with her and her grad student, Tianyi Zhang, on their project.
I am developing the user interface for Dr. Kim and Tianyi's project, Maple, which assesses the reliability of StackOverflow code snippets using API usage patterns mined from GitHub projects. My Chrome extension should use Maple to flag StackOverflow code that violates API usage patterns and provide the user with an alternative solution. Additionally, after this is developed, we would like to perform some human testing of the application and evaluate it in a report.
