My name is Ryan Jobson and welcome to my website. This summer, I was given the opportunity to participate in the Distributed Research Experiences for Undergraduates (or DREU) program. This website will document my journey throughout the summer and provide a platform to present my research.

About Me

My name is Ryan Jobson and I am a rising junior at Swarthmore College studying Computer Science and Engineering.

The Project

Timing Errors in Floating-Point Arithmetic. In this project, we will examine how susceptible floating-point operations are to hardware timing errors. This will be accomplished through building our own floating point hardware, and developing a thorough testing framework. I created I git repository with all my work so far. It can be found here

My Mentor

This summer I will be studying under Professor Russ Joseph (website can be found here) at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
