soo i've actually haven't been feeling that great this week and i haven't gotten as much done as i wanted to :\ we did finally reschedule our meeting with YY. she redirected us for what is hopefully the last time because i only have 4.5 more weeks to get this finished! it's a frustrating process but i'm still glad i'm on this project. xinxin and i are sort of having separate goals from here on out--YY wants me to compile a sort of documentation of current practices in handling network connection and presenting the issue of ideal behavior vs actual behavior and what sort of behaviors are actually potentially really problematic.
xinxin was great enough to break this down into a series of steps of things for me to do so i'm slowly working on those. YY seems to really genuinely think that it could potentially be publishable which seems weird to me because it seems so simple...which is good because i only have a few weeks! it's really encouraging to hear that from her though.
probably the hardest thing about this so far is that it's kind of lonely--there's no one in the ucsd computer science department for me to befriend really. it's really hard to make friends especially without a car so i'm pretty much alone 24/7. the nice thing is that i can work from home though.
