i am officially halfway through! xinxin and i together managed to compile a list of roughly 50 documented instances. we also found several really cool microsoft research papers that described a similar project they'd conducted and their results. we were supposed to check in with professor zhou at the end of this week but the meeting was canceled at the last minute because of work she had to do. yy is fantastic but incredibly difficult to get ahold of!
things at home have been weird and kind of dramatic...my roommate had a friend who needed to stay in our living room for "a few days" that turned into several weeks. she also brought along two additional people while she was staying with us which was really frustrating. so i asked my roommate to ask them to leave since they weren't paying rent....and then i found out she was having a pretty serious surgery. they ended up leaving anyway but i just feel really bad about the whole thing.
