so far i've managed to plenty of touristy things like the san diego zoo, driving up to pride in san francisco, seeing a lot of sunsets and beaches, and going whale watching (!!) we didn't see any whale though :[ it was my roommate's birthday so we also had a celebration for that but we were all too tired to do anything for independence day.
i'm supposed to meet professor zhou this upcoming week so i'm excited about that. i'm currently researching bugs, open source app patches, and issue trackers and recording findings in a spreadsheet with xinxin. so far our workload has pretty light--it seems really relaxed over the summer especially since xinxin is the only phd student here. hopefully things will pick up pace after we meet with YY!
