April Suknot's
Summer Research Experience

Welcome!

This website follows my summer 2013 research experience at Carnegie Mellon University's Graphics Lab. This opportunity was offered to me through the DREU program. The Distributed Research Experiences for Undergraduates (DREU) program is focused on increasing the number of women and underrepresented groups into graduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering. The program matches a student with a faculty member having similar research interests. The faculty member will then mentor the student through a summer research internship at the mentor's home institution. I learned about the DREU program during my final semester at UNM and applied. I was extremely fortunate to be paired with Dr. Jessica Hodgins at Carnegie Mellon University and now have the pleasure of working in the CMU Graphics Lab this summer.
