Summer Research

This summer I worked with my mentor, Dr. Damon L. Woodard, in the Biometrics and Pattern Recognition Lab (BPRL) at Clemson. Currently the main focus of the lab's research is Biometric Recognition through the Periocular region of the face. I worked alongside the current BPRL graduate students, but my project involved doing research in the area of 2D/3D Ear Recognition to determine how strong of a biometric this is. By reading existing materials about this topic and through experimentation on current ear recognition implementations with a database of ear images, I researched to make analyses about which approaches of ear recognition are more beneficial and effective for a biometrics system.
