Week 5

July 12 - July 18

I am in the lab Sunday because we have another meeting with a stroke patient (we'll call her Sara) on Monday. There is a huge storm outside and I am scared!

(Later that week...) Our meeting went very well. This is the second stroke patient we met with, and the differences between the two people was immense! Not only is it vital to meet with real people, it also seems to be vital to meet with a number of people so you can see the range of recovery and attitudes. I was quite proud because my game was Sara's favorite! After the meeting, we decided to fix up our games a bit. We are meeting with an occupational therapist this week to ask higher level concerns, such as what the game should do.

Friday was the annual summer BBQ... really fun! Lots of good food. We played Frisbee, this weird midwest game where you throw balls that loop around a stick, volleyball, and football. After we went downtown to catch a free sonic youth concert under the arch, but we got there right as people were leaving! It was disappointing, as there were tons of people leaving, so it would have been a good time. We walked around downtown and then went back to this kid's house and hung out, listened to music... it was a really nice night!
