Post-Project Final Update: September 8, 2009

Thank you for taking the time to read my REU blog!

Over the past two weeks, I have had the opportunity to focus on my final paper and wrap up my research project. This has included a couple of major tasks. I revised my poster and paper to focus on a scenario with an ecologically smart house, rather than a campus-wide RFID network. I have gone back into my code and fixed a number of bugs that I wanted to get to during the project but either did not know how or neglected to finish before the University of Washington REU Poster Fair.

Exciting News! I applied at the beginning of August to present my research at the Grace Hopper Conference in Tuscon, AZ. This is a unique opportunity to get feedback on my research and presentation skills. I just found out that my abstract has been accepted, so I will be presenting my research at Grace Hopper.

Please feel free to contact me at genia@u.northwestern.edu if you have any questions. What an amazing summer, thank you DREU!
