This week we started thinking about looking for patterns in our data, and how we wanted to do our data modeling. I continued to work on my merger program for our new application. Once I got it working, we made a few adjustments to it (such as taking out duplicate entries that had showed up in more than one file.) Professor Sprenkle taught me how to use "grep" and a bash script to delete these entries from our output file. I was also assigned a new task similar to what Carrie and Camille have been working on (writing scripts to gather information from our data/data mining). So I learned from them how to do some of the things they were doing, and was able to write my own script. It's almost done! Just a few things left to iron out.
