I had another meeting with my mentor, and
she pointed me towards examining only the shared cache, the L2 cache, instead
of looking at all of them, dynamically creating file names so that my program
does not need to be recompiled each time, and using much larger traces, with between
50 – 100 million instructions. I fixed
some files according to those instructions, and prepared the programs to run from
which I will draw up graphs to clearly see the results of changing the decay
threshold. |
