Week 1

I arrived at Princeton University on Monday morning, June 26th.  After meeting my mentor and going on a tour of what would be my building and other pertinent locations, I went across campus to set up my account, get my parking permit, etc.

Once settled, I read some chapters of the book, Computer Organization and Design, by David A. Patterson and John L. Hennessy, which introduced me to caches very thoroughly.  I then discussed it with my mentor for a while, and began writing a mini-simulator, to ensure that I fully understand caches and the pertinent issues.
