About Carol

My name is Carol Nichols and I have just completed my junior year at the University of Pittsburgh. I am a computer science major, and I am from Lancaster County, PA.

I play clarinet in the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching band, and am a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national band honors/service fraternity. My other hobbies include reading, knitting, and consuming ice cream and dark chocolate.

I'm really excited about the experience I'm going to gain doing research this summer because many times computer science classes can get heavy on the theory and light on the applications, and I find I don't really know something completely until I know how to apply it.
