What is this?
Since the
end of summer 2003 I had been thinking about my work choices for the
coming summer. I had a great time working at
Kavi Corp in Portland, and I was ready to do another summer there. At
the same time, I wanted to get some real research experience. Early in
Fall term at UO I talked with my advisor,
Jan Cuny, about options for
research experience, and she immediately recommended that I apply for
several summer internships; one was the
CRA-W DMP.
Here's the way it works: You apply. The DMP matches you by interest to a
professor in the US who applied to the program as a mentee. In the summer,
off you go, to do research with your mentee in their field.
