Marbella
was
born in Caracas,
Venezuela. Her
hobbies include going to the theaters, practicing sports and reading.
While in school, she was awarded medals for participating in spelling bees and
science fairs. She lives in a rural community and combines fun with education.
She likes to read and dance. In January of 2003 she was awarded the MIE
scholarship. The last semester she worked in a research at Universidad
Metropolitana with the Professor Pedro Maldonado. Her research was about Construction and
Programming of an Autonomous Robot. She participed
in summer research in 2003 at the University
of Minnesota. Her research was
The Evolution of Transportation Networks.
She worked in Department Civil Engineering with the Professor David Levinson. At
present she is participant in DMP summer research in Umass Lowell with the
Professor Holly Yanco in System Tracking - Crossing .She is working in
Computer Science Department. Marbella
plans to complete graduate studies in Computer Science and later to do a PhD in
Computer Engineering. She wants to continue participing in summer research.
