I cannot believe that eleven weeks has passed so quickly! This summer I’ve learned that I can read technical articles! I may not understand much, but at least I am able to learn something and connect it with knowledge I already have. Search paths would have definitely helped me feel less overwhelmed as I read through articles on computer-supported cooperative work, group information retrieval, and interface design! I also realized that computer science research is not necessarily about coding, but about thinking (abstractly) about a problem and then using code as a tool to implement a solution to the problem.
