I found out about the research positions offered through the Distributed Mentor Project by one of my professors,
Professor Raicu , at DePaul University.
After applying, I had found out in March that I had been accepted and will be receiving a grant from
the Computer Research Association's Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W) to participate in the
DMP Program. I was matched up to do my research with
Dr. Linda Shapiro as my mentor at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
