Web Host Access Tool (WHAT): Improve and personalize web search results through the use of machine learning techniques, specifically support vector machines.

Parallel Genetic Algorithms, An Exploration of Weather Prediction Through Clustered Computing: Create an accurate weather prediction algorithm through the use of genetic algorithms running on a Beowulf-style cluster. Funded by CRA’s Collaborative Research Experiences for Women project.

Question Answering System Through Intelligent Information Retrieval (QASTIIR): Create a question-answering system through the use of natural language processing and statistical information retrieval techniques. Specifically responsible for the creation of an anaphora resolution module.
