Our last day
These two kitties are constantly together.
Is he just yawning or should I be scared?
These are some possible beacon colors that we will use for visual localization and homing.
Here is the light Devon and I made with a touch sensor, 4 AA batteries, some wire, 2 light bulbs, and some Tupperware.
Can you tell that Devon is frustrated?
Sure, she makes it look easy.
Making the CMUcams took a little over three hours. They have so many tiny pieces to solder together. We were grateful that they worked when they were all finished.
Look at what a nice evening it was!
I think Holly's drink was a little too strong!
On June 19, Devon, Jeff, and I went to see Comedy Central's Live Professional Stand-up Comedian Challenge at Knuckleheads.
At Mall of America's Legoland, Jeff got to shake hands with his current role model.
Here I am attempting to decorate Josh's birthday cake. Attempting is the key word.
Even the icing started to melt because of the heat.
We couldn't find anyone to take our picture together, so we took pictures of each other.
Doesn't that look refreshing?
They don't look so big from this view.
Here Josh is reading about the history of the falls.
Here are the matching shot glasses we got at Jillian's with our tickets.
We were starting to act a little strange because of the heat.
Can you tell Josh is really excited to be here?
Here is the neat looking beacon we came up with.
The best part is that the robot's camera detects white light for the beacon.
I think it has character.
This is the tiny circuit we made ourselves. It was a pain in the butt.
This is Hoj and Jenny at the rehearsal dinner.
Here we are trying not to cry.
Our last picture as two single chickas.
She tried her best to stay relaxed.
Everyone was all sentimental before the ceremony.
Jenny and Hoj danced to "I Swear" by All 4 One
Here they are relieved to have the ceremony finished.
Isn't he handsome?
Doesn't she make me look pale?
This robot is using two cameras and sonar to navigate through this changing maze to find a user specified target (in this case, it is a black box).
Here is Armandone searching for the box.
Here is a robot that moves like an inchworm.
One group from Carnegie Mellon showed a robot named Rover who is designed to do tasks around the house.
Here is one of the robots dropping off a target.
Don't they look nice?
Here they are smiling.
It was nice to see the part we worked on being used.
Paul is explaining what our robots do.
This is the area of the mall that has the submarines and pirate ship.
Devon and I went to dinner a few times with Paul and his wife, Elaine.
Here is me with Devon at the place I rented this summer. I am going to miss her!
