Due to our camping trip I had some extra stuff that needed to go home with me and there was not enough space in my car. So, off I headed to Nebraska. Rob, being from New York, wanted to come since he had never seen the Midwest. Below is Nebraska, through a New Yorker's eyes.

So, the pink taurus took us to Nebraska. This was the official trip car of the summer.

I think this may have been the one thing that really impressed Rob on the trip. He seemed to be amazed by how many fields of corn and beans he saw. But yeah, for those of you who haven't been to the Midwest. There are lots of fields filled with some crop or another. Especially Corn!

Finally we arrived in Omaha. This isn't the greatest picture, but it is a picture none-the-less. This was taken from the Con Agra Park, it was quite warm the entire weekend so we didn't really want to wander around looking for nice pictures.

This is the Josyln. It is the major art museum in Omaha. The building is pretty neat.

Then we went to Lincoln. We went to see the capital but it was under construction so there are no real pictures of that.

We stopped by Husker Stadium and walked around on the field. What is amazing is that there is proof now that Cory and I were on the field.

Then we walked back to the car. But, I wanted to play in the fountain. And yes, you are allowed to just play in it. I've missed "flailing" in the fountain.

This is the best picture from the trip! Jessamy and I had been teasing Rob about us driving to visit him in New York in a combine. We learned that he didn't really know what one was so, I found a combine and we explored farm machinery.

On the way back we stopped by Des Moines, Iowa to see the capital there.

It was quite....yellow.

There were some of the odder sights we saw. The first is n a life insurance building. The second was on the soldier and sailor's monument at the Iowa capital.
