I want to share my thoughts about the program in this section.
First of all, I want to thank the CRA DMP program director, Dr. Mary Jean Harrold, my mentor Dr. Annie AntŪn, my academic advisors Sheila Castaneda and Dr. Sean Bradley as well as everyone who helped me to be a part of this experience. The DMP experience helped me identify the steps I need to take to realize my future goals. Of course there are still a few unknowns, but it is most probable that I will pursue graduate studies.
During my conversations with Dr. AntŪn she explained what graduate life is like and how to succeed in a graduate program. My new friends provided good examples here as well. For a period of ten weeks I worked on my own project while interacting with other students. It was nice to observe, first hand, their worries about their Masters Theses, their hard work as well as the good times they share. I had a great time while working and learning with them. The presence of another DMP student (my roommate Angela) made the experience all the more meaningful and enjoyable. When I arrived, I was not alone and during summer, while sharing everything, we became good friends.
This is great program that changed me and has made a significant difference in my life.
