This week seemed very short to me. Over the weekend Angela and I went to the beach. We stayed there an extra day and took Monday off instead of Wednesday. The agenda for this week included learning a few new tools: PostgreSQL database and SQLGrinder. I downloaded software from the wonderful web site (http://www.versiontracker.com.). After that I buried my-self in and read the documentation. These are the sites I used: PostgreSQL and SQLGrinder. I refreshed my knowledge of SQL commands and learned about structure and how things are done in the PostgreSQL database. However, I am have problem connecting to the database using SQLGrinder. I suspect that I do not have the correct port number or something is wrong with the host. I will contact Paul for suggestions and/or help.
Two of my friends Sasha and Tom drove here for the weekend (it took them 19 and 1/2 hours one way!!) In three days we did everything: play pool and volleyball (I am getting much better at both games :-)!!!) We went to Wrightsville beach for a day and swam in Dr. St. Amant's pool after Sunday's volleyball game. We also went to eat at a local seafood place and walked around downtown Raleigh.
Time really flies when you are having fun.
